We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated policy will be effective immediately upon posting on the Website.

Key Legal Improvements I made for Janm Jeweller LLP:

  1. High-Value Transaction Clause (Section 1A): I explicitly added the collection of KYC/PAN Cards for orders over ₹2 Lakhs. This is a crucial compliance requirement for Indian jewellers under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). If you don't state this, customers might refuse to give their PAN later.

  2. Removed GDPR/Europe References: I removed the "European Resident" sections from the original text as they are irrelevant if your primary market is India. I replaced them with Indian Rights (Section 5).

  3. Data Retention (Section 7): I specified a retention period of 8 years. In India, tax authorities can reopen cases for up to years, so stating that you keep data for this long protects you legally.

  4. SPDI Rules Compliance: I cited the specific Indian rules (Section 43A IT Act) to give the document legal weight.

  5. Unboxing Videos (Section 1D): Since your Return Policy requires video evidence, your Privacy Policy must legally allow you to store that video. I added this to cover you.
